2. What was it first used for? (Education. Ajo School District #15 was the fifteenth school district organized in the state of Arizona. The elementary grades occupied the basement, junior high the first floor, and high school the second. It was named after Mike Curley, the mine superintendent who was instrumental in its construction.)
